Volvo announced earlier this month a series of improvements on its plug-in hybrid Recharge models. These improvements are quite significant and although we cover them in a previous article, we feel they deserve a second look specifically on the 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge.
The 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge now has a lot more range
Thanks to an upgraded battery, the 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge now offers 58 km of range, an improvement of 27 km compared to the outgoing model. That means that you get nearly double the range and it should now be possible to do most of your daily trips without needing a single drop of fuel.
It has a lot more power
The 2022 Volvo XC60 now delivers a lot better performance. With 455 hp, the XC60 Recharge significantly increases its engine output which was already impressive with 400 hp. This upgraded powertrain means that the 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge is not just a lot faster and quicker than any other plug-in hybrid luxury SUV, but it is actually the most powerful Volvo vehicle ever built.
It features one-pedal driving
The 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge has a wide range of advanced features that include one-pedal driving. If you are not familiar with one-pedal driving, it is a technology usually reserved for electric vehicles that allows you to drive using only the accelerator. You can accelerate with the pedal, but when you take your foot off of it it also slows down the vehicle.
