Volvo going 100% hybrid or electric in 2023
June 29 2022,
Volvo has announced important changes and improvements for its 2023 vehicle lineup. Among the many changes that we find in the new Volvo lineup next year, the new powertrain lineup is definitely the most significant. Volvo confirmed that every vehicle sold in Canada in 2023 will be either mild-hybrid, hybrid, or fully electric.
That means that the current T4 engine found on the XC40 will be replaced by a new B4 engine, while the Volvo models still using the T5 and T6 engines will now feature the new B5 and B6 powertrains that we saw on the 2022 Volvo XC60. Volvo plug-in hybrid engines are a lot more powerful; they are a lot smoother, and they are a lot more efficient. This is great news across the board for potential Volvo buyers.
Volvo also announced that its 2023 model lineup will feature the Google built-in infotainment system across the board. That means that every new Volvo next year will benefit from Google connectivity and features such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play app store.
Volvo confirms that there will be new colour options as well as wheels and interior finishes across the 2023 model lineup. New 2023 Volvo vehicles arrive this summer. Give us a call today to learn more.
